Kuwait University President Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem hosted a delegation from Qatar Foundation from October 6-8, 2025, to advance academic partnerships. The visiting team was led by Prof. Hilal Iashuel and included Dr. Ameenah Rajab Farhan, KFAS Director General.

Significance of the Visit

Prof. Al-Mailem emphasized that “such engagements represent a significant step towards building strong bridges of scientific and research” collaboration between Gulf institutions. She highlighted the importance of student and faculty exchanges aligned with the “New Kuwait 2035” vision.

Campus Tour

The delegation toured Sabah Al-Salem University City, visiting the College of Science and College of Engineering and Petroleum facilities. Discussions focused on collaborative research opportunities and strengthening ties between Kuwait and Qatar’s educational systems.

Future Prospects

Al-Mailem concluded that the visit supports “fostering a fruitful and sustainable partnership” while promoting “the global standing of Gulf universities and research institutions.”
