WHO Delegation Completes Second Day of Healthy University City Evaluation

Continuing the evaluation visit for the accreditation of Sabah Al-Salem University City as a healthy city, the World Health Organization delegation conducted its second day field tour of Sabah Al-Salem University City. The delegation visited the children’s nursery in the Administrative Building, Kuwait University Citizen Service Center, Administrative Building Clinic, National Union of University Students Building, Tennis Building and Sports Stadium, as well as the Sports Activities Building for male and female students, model schools and nurseries, Shadadiya Hazardous Materials Center, Sabah Al-Salem University City Ambulance Center, and the Academic Units Building (Campus Pearl). The field tour also included Kuwait University Press, Administrative Staff Club, Transportation Station, and Waste Building.

At the conclusion of the tour, the World Health Organization delegation, consisting of the Regional Expert for Healthy Cities at the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region Dr. Samar Al-Feqi and the General Supervisor of the Healthy Cities Program and Director of the WHO Collaborating Center for Healthy Cities Dr. Mohammed Nasr Khashoggi, was honored by the Acting Dean of the College of Social Sciences and Head of the Healthy University Project Team Prof. Maha Meshari Al-Sajari.
