He thanked the exhibition management for allocating a booth for Kuwait University represented by the College of Architecture to display its curricula and students’ works, and dedicating special spaces for workshops and lectures that will benefit students and visitors in general.

For her part, Acting Head of Visual and Interior Design Department Dr. Sara Al-Fallah mentioned that the participants in the exhibition are students of the College of Architecture from both the Visual and Interior Design Department and the Architecture Department, praising the exhibition that contributes to presenting a distinguished model and valuable services to enhance the ability to prepare comprehensive interior design with the participation of highly professional sponsoring entities and companies in providing various services, especially since the excellence in idea and specialization by organizers and participants adds an attraction factor to the exhibition.

Dr. Al-Fallah explained that the participation of college students in such exhibitions, especially exhibitions specialized in the field of design, contributes to giving them an opportunity to learn about leading local companies in the field of design, in addition to being an opportunity for communication and exchange of experiences with experienced designers, which may open horizons and job opportunities for them in the future.

She also praised the participation of the Visual Design and Interior Architecture Club (VIA) and the Kuwaiti Association of Architecture Students (CASA), which prepared a volunteer work team present throughout the exhibition period, noting that it is a valuable opportunity for our students to get used to volunteer work and contribute, even slightly, to the experience of organizing an exhibition of this great level that specializes in their field of work, hoping that this participation will open other opportunities for their post-graduation journey.

She noted that the student clubs (VIA) and (CASA) organized live workshops at the college booth daily from 6 to 7:30 PM, for training on some artistic and architectural skills such as watercolor painting, oil painting, quick sketching, printing, planning, and design, presented by Latifa Bu Haimed, Farah Al-Ghunaim, Khalifa Al-Nafees, Rahaf Mal Allah, Ali Al-Sadiq, and Abdulmohsen Al-Hassan.

In conclusion, Dr. Al-Fallah extended sincere thanks to the Mirzam team, especially designer Farah Al-Humaidi for her continuous support for education, particularly education in design fields, and her belief in the importance of spreading awareness and urban culture in Kuwaiti society. She also extended special thanks to Dr. Reem Dashti for leading the Mirzam team and arranging participation with the exhibition management.

Dr. Al-Mubaraki indicated that the Architecture Department’s participation is the second of its kind, after the college was invited by the exhibition organizer designer Farah Al-Humaidi to participate under the umbrella of educational bodies for interior design.

Dr. Al-Mubaraki also pointed out that Mirzam Exhibition is considered a meeting point for those interested in design, and it is an opportunity to highlight the Architecture Department at the College of Architecture and showcase students’ skills and works. It also enhances the role of student associations in community activities and confirms the extent of Kuwait University’s keenness to encourage students to participate in such events due to their positive and motivating impact on students in their career future.
