Under the patronage and attendance of the Acting Dean of Student Affairs Prof. Jassim Al-Hamdan, the Cultural and Arts Activities Department of the Student Affairs Deanship held an awareness exhibition titled “Your Life is Precious” on the morning of Monday, December 11, 2023, in the lobby of the College of Science, South Building at Sabah Al-Salem University City. The event was attended by the Director of Cultural and Arts Activities Department Jamal Bu’arki, Acting Controller of the Department Khuloud Al-Yaqoub, and supervised by Cultural Supervisor Mona Al-Asfour.

Several government and volunteer entities participated in the exhibition, including the Kuwaiti Association for Drug Awareness and Prevention (Ghiras), Bashayer Al-Khair Association for Addiction Prevention, in addition to the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, the Public Authority for Manpower, the Addiction Prevention and Substance Abuse Center at the Lawyers Association, the Anti-Drug Department at the Ministry of Interior, the First Step Team for Disease Prevention, and the Forensic Evidence Program. The event was coordinated and organized by cultural activity students: Abdullah Al-Haran, Farhan Al-Rashidi, Budoor Al-Hajri, and Ayed Abdulhadi.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, a panel discussion was held at the college theater to introduce addiction and ways to prevent it, presented by Social Consultant Dr. Tahani Al-Saeed, Dr. Imad Al-Awn from the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Attorney Abdul Wahab Bin Salamah, and session moderator Attorney Jihan Al-Balushi.
